Laura + Caden | Boyd Montana

This Boyd MT wedding on the Bride's family ranch is the perfect blend of rustic and elegant.  We love that the couple said "I Do" on September 17, the same date the Bride's Grandparents were married in 1947 and her parents in 1983.  Perfect!

Caden and I tossed around several ideas for location but we always came back to the same conclusion, to get married at my family's ranch in Boyd, MT. Whenever we are there we are happy - so the ultimate decision was easy. But that didn't mean that all of us had a lot of work in our future to get the space ready in less than eight months! It was truly a marathon of building, cleaning, planting, watering and everything else you can think of to turn a barn and an equipment shop in to a wedding ceremony and reception venue. There were several moments when I thought, "there is no way we are going to get this done," but in the end, our vision turned in to reality thanks to the hard work of family, friends, and terrific vendors.

When my dad and I stepped in to the barn and started walking toward my future husband I was overwhelmed with emotion. The decor was breathtaking and I felt incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so many friends and family members. After our I-do's we went straight to the shop for celebratory drinks and appetizers, including our very own version of surf and turf - oysters on the half shell and
rocky mountain oysters. Dinner and dancing followed and I have to say, we never knew that some of
our friends and family members could move like that on the dance floor!
